Busy month, started a new job at Jasons Deli. Not the best place to work so I am still looking for a better job, but seriously I cant complain because, well I have a job. Did a couple senior photoshoots (cant show you, they didn’t want me too. Sad face. lets see is there anything else going on… oh yea, saving up for a Canon EOS 5D Mark ii. that is going to be a good time! cant wait to shoot in full frame!

ok now on to the goodies.

took some pictures of Voice of December the other day. It was nothing too special, just a quick shoot for them to use on their myspace until we get a chance to take some better more conceptual pictures.

this is not the first time i have worked with Voice of December. The first time i worked with them was back in… late 2007 i think, Anyway here is that image. This was my first ever promo.

not very good, but i think it was an ok start. A couple months latter Robert told me they had a new line up and i then produced this image. again, not very good, but at the time i was pretty happy with it.

wayyyy too dark.

so as it goes voice of december has had another line up change. went out and did a quick shoot to hold them over untill we are able to do a really good shot.

I like it, but i still don’t love it. Wish i could have done a better job, but i was kind of running low on time. i also liked these two individuals.

you might be wondering, ‘is that a doll?’ yes, yes it is, and it keeps me out! seriously he has all sorts of dismembered dolls hanging from that thing. why? i have no idea.

I had a shoot today with a good friend of mine, Sarah. It was a lot of fun, and everything worked and came out perfectly. We went to a location that she had found previously, an old house that was covered in graffiti (manda had to spell that for me). very cool. pictures below.

very cool. Also thanks to JoJo and Manda for helping out with the shoot and set up, you guys are amazing and i love you both. (i love one more then the other, can you guess who?)

as the sun was setting we drove up out of Albuquerque into the messa and hopped a barbed wire fence. these are by far some of my favorite pictures of all time.

Not too busy (as far as photography is concerned) this past month, a couple shoots, a wedding, and one concert. That is to be expected in the colder months. no one really wants to get their picture taken when it is cold outside. I understand completely.

I have however been very busy with other things in my life. A good friend of mine and I have been working to open a clothing company. There is much more involved with doing this then both of us originally though. We were hoping to have the store (d1str1ct.com) open for you by now, but there were some shipping issues. Really it was unavoidable. Anyway, I will let everyone know as soon as the store is up. It would mean the world to be if you did buy a shirt, but only buy one if you like the design. If you dont like the design maybe tell a friend who might like it.

Other things going on….

oh yes. I am going to be in denver the 20th – 24th this month (a bro trip with luke and john) expect a bunch of pictures from that. I am also going to monarch in January. I think the 30th – 5 or 6th or something. I think there is another trip i am going on but i can’t seem to remember.

nothing else really. Oh no wait i lied. I quit campfire finally. I am trying to get a job at Sagebrush Community Church as their missions photographer. Please prey for me, this is a dream job. I have never wanted a job like I have wanted this one.

truth is I dont have any free time anymore. I am either at school, studying, at work, doing a photoshoot or scrambeling to get everything ready for my up and coming clothing company.

Lets start with the most obviously new, the clothing company. It is giong to be called D1str1ct. at this point  we have three new designs that are being printed as I write this. I am so stoked for you guys to see them. The shirts (which are designed by me) are going on sale 12.01.09 at D1str1ct.com. please pick one up when the store opens, there are only a limited number of shirts that we printed, and we will never print the same design twice.

next time I write to you I hope to be very busy shipping shirts out to soon to be happy customers.

next on the list, photography, how has that been going? good but things are slowing down since it is getting colder outside. I have one last big shoot, a wedding, about a week from today. I cant wait for that to go down, it is going to be loads of fun.

I am in need of a machine shop for a band promo. If anyone knows of any shops like that might let me take pictures at their shop please let me know.

um… not all too much to write about, i am busy, but i kind of like it that way. hope everything goes great for you guys in november.
