Joshua Morse: An Entertainment, Life and Advertisement photographer.
Photography was introduced to me my sophomore year in high school when through a glitch in the system i was placed into a photography class. During that semester I bought my first film camera the . for the next two years i shot exclusively film in a very accidental manner. I learned everything I could about photography and it quickly became my passion. Instead of spending all of my money on video games or music i began spending it all my money on equipment.
As the cost of film went up i bought my first digital camera the canon EOS 40D. This is when I started looking into the intricacies of lighting and the various looks different focal lengths could give me. I moved away from my previous journalistic style to a more intentional, cleaner style of photography. Currently i have a healthy balance between both worlds, I love the photo journalistic approach, yet I also go out of my way to set up lights whenever possible.
I draw no distinction between my personal and professional work. They are both one and the same.
I have never taken a photograph that i can call my favorite. Like all creatives I am cursed into by disliking the work i create virtually the second I create it. This drives me to constantly create better work. I hope to never be satisfied with the work i created yesterday.
Joshua is based out of Albuquerque NM and is willing to travel anywhere.
